Credit for Resume-Building Projects

Our students earn high school credits by creating amazing projects with the help of their faculty mentor. Our students individualize themselves and make their job and college applications stand out against the crowd. BIG students learn and design unique projects that have never been done before.
At BIG, students vote to fund each other's projects. These projects must have an audience that extends beyond the school walls; a community group that cares about the results of the student's work. Anyone from a single engineer to an entire chamber of commerce have served as past audiences.

Competency Based Assessment

Our students learn through projects they control. Our students are assessed by the competencies they meet. Students continue working until they master the material they've set their minds to, whether that's 2 months or 2 years.
