Experience:

Shawn Cornally has been playing bass and guitar for over 10 years. He has been in countless bands and ensembles as a bassist, guitarist, and drummer. He runs a meager home studio in Iowa City where lessons are taught.

Cornally has taken collegiate level music theory and teaches science/math at a local High School. He loves teaching as much as he loves playing. He has great empathy for students and their learning process.

Recording:

Students who are interested will also have the opportunity to track, mix, and master their own recordings. Shawn has recorded hundreds of hours of rock, classical, and funk music:

Lessons: $15/30 Minutes

Lessons may be scheduled in 30, 60, and 90 minute blocks on a weekly or bimonthly basis. Please email for vacancies.

Each lesson consists of instruction on: technique, music theory, the student's specific interests, and a famous bass line or guitar riff. (e.g.: Another One Bites the Dust or Enter Sandman)

Each student will have access to their own protected website housing lesson materials, schedules, and communication tools for support during the week while practicing.

Students unable to travel may take personal lessons through skype or other video conferencing software.
